TRACK MY PROGRESS EVERYDAY, SESSION BY SESSION ON STRAVA

You ever feel like you never gave something your best shot? I hate that feeling...

With the whirlwind of a couple years I have had since life through my out into the creative world traveling, I missed the competitive environment I had grown up with with and felt like I was going the right way to a life of regret never fully knowing what the peak years of my body could have been like...I was anxious at the thought of never giving it the chance to be at it's like at the peak of its powers, pushing limits I can only push in this very short period of time.

I guess in a weird way I feel like that was a big reason why I want to move to the Gold Coast...I felt like it was a place I could come and build a new lifestyle with the emphasis being on training and finding a way to make it work.

It's been a huge change and still taking me a while to realise that I have commitments everyday with training that I can't ignore if I want to fulfil my potential, but in a weird way I kind of like it...

I want to keep weekly updates of my progress as I think it will be so cool to track and use to refer back to. I think the main point i want to make obvious and be upfront with myself about is, I am literally and completely starting from scratch. When I arrived here I thought I was reasonably fit, but having come into the first week thinking I soon realised that I was so far off where I thought I was in terms of physical fitness.

I wanted to get a good coach and be amongst a motivated squad of other young people and I literally couldn't be more thankful for how things have panned out. I'm in an environment of very serious and elite athletes all motivated and with similar aspirations to push the boundaries of themselves. I had such a good feeling when I met with Andrew - who runs Elite Sportz He is a very low key guy and a super coach with a proven record and I really jam with the way things operate.

I know to some of you have been following me since the traveling days this may sounds strange but I guess it's a testament to following your OWN path because the sweaty stationary bike sessions in the gym with a group of motivated healthy people I barely know working our assses off at the crack of dawn is exactly where I want to be right now and I couldn't be more stoked.

All the specifics on the sessions are viewable on my Strava. We train hard all morning then leave the rest of the day to recover. In the past seven days I have done 5 runs, 4 rides and 2 swims.
